Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrive Lucerne
Arrival in Lucerne by train 1st class from Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 2 | Lucerne
Day at leisure. We recommend an optional excursion to any of the following mountain tops:

  • Mount Titlis
    – Titlis Rotair, Ice Flyer Chairlift, Glacier Park & Cave
  • Mount Pilatus – The Golden Round Trip
  • Mount Rigi – Queen of the Mountains
    Overnight in Lucerne. (B)

Day 3 | Lucerne to Interlaken
From Lucerne over the Brünig Pass to Interlaken by Lucerne-Interlaken Express train. Overnight in Interlaken. (B)

Day 4 | Interlaken
 Full day at leisure. We suggest an optional excursion to the Jungfraujoch the highest train station in Europe (Top of Europe). Impressive views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch Glacier, which extends for 22km and is the longest glacier in the Alps. Overnight in Interlaken. (B)

Day 5 | Interlaken to Montreux
Travel by train to Zweisimmen (by Golden-Pass Panoramic BLS train). Change to the GoldenPass Panoramic MOB train for the rest of the memorable trip to Montreux. Overnight in Montreux. (B)

Day 6 | Depart Montreux
Depart Montreux for Swiss border or airport or alternatively continue your stay in Switzerland. (B)

7 Days / 6 Nights Package

Day 1-5 | Lucerne to Montreux
Itinerary as per rail package: Golden Pass Panoramic.

Day 6 | (Optional) Excursion on Chocolate Train
A coffee and a croissant will be served on board the Chocolate Train. The «Maison Cailler-Nestlé» Chocolate Factory awaits you where you will learn everything about the history of Swiss chocolate-making tradition followed by a chocolate tasting. Afterwards a bus takes you to the village of Gruyères for some leisure time. You might go for lunch and enjoy the tasty local cheese fondue or visit the Gruyères castle. Later that afternoon the bus takes you to «La Maison du Gruyère» for a visit of the demonstration cheese factory followed by the return travel to Montreux on the Chocolate Train. Overnight in Montreux or Geneva. (B)

Day 7 | Depart Montreux
Depart Montreux by rail to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland. (B)
