Itinerary

Day 1 Geneva – Montreux – Zermatt
Start with a city tour of Geneva this morning, including the beautiful parks along the lake, the old town with its cathedral, the unique town-hall and the European seat of the United Nations. Late morning depart Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Montreux. Pass by Chillon Castle, the 13th century fortress made famous by Lord Byron’s poem. Time for lunch in Montreux. In the afternoon proceed through the Valais, the valley of the Rhone River with its orchards and vineyards. At Täsch board a cogwheel train that takes you to the mountain resort of Zermatt, at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Dinner and overnight in Zermatt at a first-class hotel.

Day 2 Zermatt – Nufenen Pass – Lugano
Morning at leisure in Zermatt – admire the quaint old farmhouses and barns in their unique style, do some shopping, relax or take an optional cogwheel train to the Gornergrat for a spectacular view of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. Afternoon train to Täsch where your coach is waiting to take you over the breathtaking Nufenen Pass into the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, to the garden city of Lugano. Overnight in Lugano at a first-class hotel.

Day 3 Lugano – Lake Como – Maloja Pass – St. Moritz
Depart Lugano and drive along the scenic road to Gandria where you cross the border into Italy. Drive along the romantic shores of Lake Como and Menaggio to Chiavenna in the lovely Breggaglia Valley. In Castasegna, re-enter Switzerland and start the ascent along the Maloja Pass, passing by crystal blue Lake Sils, and Silvaplana before arriving at the world-renowned alpine resort of St. Moritz. Dinner and overnight in St. Moritz at a first-class hotel.

Day 4 St. Moritz – Principality of Liechtenstein – Zurich
Depart St. Moritz in the morning and cross the Fluela Pass to reach Davos and continue to the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, where there will be time for lunch and sightseeing. This tiny country with the mighty castle, which is the home of the present Prince and his family, attracts visitors from all over the world. In the afternoon continue to Zurich through the picturesque Toggenburg Region with its distinctive farmhouses. Tour ends at approx. 5 p.m. in Zurich.
